St. Anton am Arlberg: Arlberg has always been famous for its night life, reliable snow extending right down to the villages and the excellent condition of its slopes. A total of 83 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts offer the highest standard of safety and comfort. Another pioneering feature is the arlberg-card, a reusable high- tech ski pass which automatically opens the ski-lift entrances. The
sporting opportunities this glorious mountain world has to offer have
been developing continuously ever since winter sports began. 454 km of descents, superbly prepared slopes for all ability levels,
challenging steep slopes and deep-snow ski runs, snowboard fun parks,
carving areas, permanent racing circuits and numerous cozy meeting
places ensure variety and enjoyment. Quote: http://www.stantonamarlberg.com/

 St. Anton powder... St.
Anton holds the crown of ‘Europe’s liveliest ski resort’ and is set to
stamp its identity even more firmly on the global winter sports
industry by hosting the first Alpine World Championships of the new
millennium in 2001 - the year before the Utah Olympics. Calling itself a Weltdorf or ‘World Village,’ the resort has a genuinely international outlook.
St.
Anton’s skiing and boarding are legendary, attracting winter sports
fans from all over the world to the Arlberg area of western Austria,
one of the places where Alpine skiing began nearly a century ago. St.
Anton is lift linked to St Christoph, where the snow is skiable into
May, and on the same pass as Lech and Zurs (a short bus ride away). The
vast ski area includes many spine tingling off-piste descents and over
160 km (100 miles) of off-piste, ungroomed routes. There is plenty of
skiing for all ability levels - it’s just that there’s far more tough
and exciting skiing than almost anywhere else.
