Sunday, July 22:  Golden Circle
Visit the historical Geyser (geothermal hot spot) and Gullfoss (golden waterfall) in the amazing Rift Valley. Hike in Pingvellir National Park, option to Horseback Ride.
Monday, July 23:   Hike and enjoy more of Pingvellir and the historical Geyser. 
Optional Snorkeling/Diving, Caving, or Kayaking
Tuesday, July 24:  Hiking/hot springs/in Landmannalaugar and Laugevegur
Wednesday, July 25:  Hiking near and around Skogarfoss and Seljalandfoss waterfalls.

Saturday, July 21:
Early morning arrival in Reykjavik, get breakfast.  Drive to visit the Blue Lagoon. In the afternoon check into hotel.  For the remainder of the afternoon, explore the city.  Afterwards, we can check out the city's fun night life!

Sunday, July 22:   Golden Circle Day 1
We start the morning off with a drive to the most famous sites of Iceland.  First, the Keridi and Faxi Waterfall, Then the world famous geothermal area of the great Geyser, the one hot spring on earth, which all other hot springs are named after.  Here we will stop and get a chance to walk around the bubbling mud pools and exploding geysers in the area.  We will continue to Gullfoss (The Golden Waterfall) where we will get a chance to walk down to the edge of the cascade, so close that you can even feel the mist from the glacial water on your face.  We will then head to the National park of Pingvellir, which is one of the country's most significant historic regions.  Pingvellir is an amazing geological site where the meeting of the tectonic plates of North America and Europe form the picturesque landscape.
Optional: Horseback riding in the evening(remember the sun stays up till 11pm!)

Monday, July 23:    Golden Circle Day 2
We will continue to explore the area of Pingvellir with optional activities.  Snorkel/Diving-“Into The Blue” The Silfra fissure is one of Iceland’s best kept secrets.  The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current.  This is a relaxing but exotic trip in an environment most will only encounter in their dreams.
Kayaking-“Lake Serenity” Kayaking on the serene and beautiful Pingvellir lake, through unique lava formations and landscapes.  Paddle along the coast and then out to an island in the lake.
Caving-“The Under World” Explore a hidden world of the lava field.  Walking into caves and discovering the marvels that volcanic activity has created in the past.  Climb, crawl, and walk during the travel beneath the surface.

Tuesday, July 24:
After breakfast, we’ll take a scenic drive to Landmannalaugar nature reserve with its multi-colored hills and lava fields.  Here we will take a long scenic hike.
Following our breathtaking hike, we will relax in the natural hot springs.
Optional Activities: Karaoke, dune buggies, golf course and horseback riding available

Wednesday, July 25:
Among en route stops today are Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall you can actually walk behind and the glacial lagoon, Eyjafjallajokull.  Here there are scenic views of glaciers, woodlands, and other colorful landscape. This is the ideal for the lovers of pure nature.  Here you will have the choice of hiking and relaxing for the remainder of the day, or White Water Raft.
WWR-“River Acton” This is ideal for those looking for adrenaline.  Huge waves, giant holes, and mini waterfalls! Class III-IV.

Thursday, July 26:
We take the bus to one of the places Icelanders appreciate most, Porsmork (The Woods of Thor). The valley of Porsmork was created by glacial streams running off from underneath the icecaps of Eyjafjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull.  It’s undeniably one of the most beautiful locations in Iceland.  Here we will enjoy scenic hikes as well as more hot springs.

Friday, July 27:
We transfer to visit the Solheimajokull glacier.  Here you will have two options to explore the magnificent glacier.
Ice Climbing/Trekking-“Blue Ice” Walk on the Solheimajokull glacier and observe the spectacular surroundings.  Then abseil down into a glacial crevasse, into the heart of the ice and climb back out with all the tools you need: ice axes, crampons and safety lines.  This is one of the most adventurous trips!
Snowmobile tours provide a unique opportunity to mix adventure and sightseeing experiences together, and are a key to a great day in Iceland. Experience Iceland’s most spectacular scenery from the freedom of a snowmobile.

Saturday, July 28:
We will drive down the coast to the town Dyrholaey. Here we will see from the top of Dyrholaey the great view.  At the eastern end of the spur is a vast rock arch.  We will also be able to venture down to the black beach in this area.  We will take a scenic drive back to Reykjavik.
Dinner and party in Reykjavik.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Reykjavik

Sunday, July 29
After breakfast, we will drive along the coastline and stop at the wonderful Blue Lagoon to enjoy our last day in Iceland.  We will stop for bathing and relaxing in the nice warm mineral rich water at the Blue Lagoon before going to the airport.  Leave for the airport at 2:00pm for our 5:00pm flight to New York.
Return New York/JFK at 7:00pm
